Los Angeles’ natives, Coast Contra, are back. After serving up their debut album, Apt. 505, the group is back with a brand new single. This time around, the crew serves up another impressive showcase called “Never Freestyle.” The track finds RioLoz, Eric Jamal, and twin brothers Taj and Ras Austin again displaying their respective talents and lyrical prowess.
The track was debuted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the crew performed their “Never Freestyle.” The track is the studio version of their impressive freestyle that garnered praise from the likes of Questlove, LL Cool J, Timbaland, Juelz Santana, Swizz Beatz, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kelly Rowland, Alchemist, and JID. The track is driven by an infectious, bouncing instrumental that provides the four MCs with an incredible home to do their thing. All four bring a dose of their uncanny abilities and provide us with another impressive single.
