Cold-Weather Blends! The Winter Warm Up With Sailor Jerry

It’s cold outside, and there isn’t a better way to warm up than with a great drink. Hot chocolate is a classic when it comes to warming up, soothing the soul while offering a sweet and savory flavor. Well, we have a drink recipe that puts a twist on the classic hot chocolate, adding a dose of spice and citrus to go along with the sweetness. ‘The Winter Warm Up’ with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum was created by Brooke Hall, who created something perfect for any cold night.

The recipe calls for a blend of Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum, whole milk, hot cocoa mix, cinnamon sticks, semisweet orange chocolate, sugar, almond extract, and salt. The recipe is complex yet flavorful, loaded with subtle notes from all of the included ingredients for a balanced blend. Sweet, savory, stunning, and easy to drink, ‘The Winter Warm Up’ will bring the heat to any Winter evening.

The ‘Winter Warm Up’ with Sailor Jerry Created by Brooke Hall

2 cups whole milk

1/4 cup hot cocoa mix

3 cinnamon sticks ( 2 for mix 1 for serving)

8 ounces semisweet orange chocolate finely chopped

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 Pinch of kosher salt

2 ounces Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum

Heat whole milk, hot cocoa mix, two cinnamon sticks, orange chocolate, sugar, almond abstract, and salt on the stovetop. Continue to mix well until reaching the desired temp before removing it from heat. Fill your glass with the combination before adding Sailor Jerry’s spiced rum. Garnish with a sprig of mint, cinnamon stick, orange curls, and whipped cream.
