Colorful Classics | Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Purple”

Looking to add a little color to the sneaker collection? Today the Jordan Brand is back in the news feed, invading it with a closer look at the recently released Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Purple.” Sleek, stylish, clean, and colorful, the sneakers mix inspiration from the OG Air Jordan 1 with a summer-ready aesthetic. The Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Purple” is one-quarter of the “Metallic” pack, which includes “Metallic Green,” “Metallic Red,” and “Metallic Orange” colorways.

The silhouette maintains its classic features, offering details of purple throughout the crisp white design. The sneaker’s clean white upper is accented by purple top, and bottom eye stays heel’s Jumpman logo, and the Air Max unit. The details on the tongue and liner are purple as well.

The sneaker is inspired by 1985’s Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Purple.” The rest of the sneaker includes luxe tumbled leather along the upper while the signature mesh netting is kept tonal. The sneaker is quite eye-catching, while the AJ4 itself is an icon.

The sneaker was first made iconic in the 1989 NBA Playoffs with “The Shot” against the Cleveland Cavs. Check out the “Metallic Purple” Air Jordan 4 in the images below and head over to Nike and Sneaker Politics now to pick up a pair. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new sneakers and footwear coming soon.
