There might not be a footwear silhouette more iconic than the Air Force 1. Nike’s classic sneaker has been revamped time and time again with bold colorways, special collaborations, and more. Today the Air Force 1 is back again, returning in a blue silk iteration. The new look comes thanks to the excellent folks over at CLOT. CLOT, and its co-founder, Kevin Poon, took to Instagram to share a first look at the sneakers. It’s definitely a pair worth your time and attention. CLOT’s Blue Silk Air Force 1 is seen rocking a sleek and colorful new look.
The two brands have collaborated on the silhouette in the past, first in 2009 as part of the 1World pack. They dropped an all-white version the following year, with the original red peel-away, still keeping the silk upper of the shoe intact. This new pair features the same silk upper, though seen in a bold shade of blue. The pair features blue silk along the upper, which will be removable, revealing a surprising base layer. The sneakers are contrasted by a white midsole and gum outsole, which completes the look in a classic manner. CLOT and Nike last teamed up with JUICE LA in August of last year, dropping off two highly-limited, silk upper Air Force 1s in the process.
