Coming Soon | Disney+ Drops Trailer For ‘Hamilton’ Live-Action Feature

The good folks over at Disney are back in the news. Today the company returns with a brand new trailer for the upcoming live-action rendition of ‘Hamilton.’ The musical took over Broadway and beyond, giving a unique look at American Founding father, Alexander Hamilton. The musical draws heavily on hip-hop, R&B, soul, and pop, and it will arrive on Disney+ on July 3rd. This comes after reports that Disney spent $75 million USD for the global rights to the recording.

Rather than take it to theaters, Disney opted to send it straight to streaming, scrapping the original theatrical release date of October 15th, 2021. The Broadway hit has been nominated for 16 Tony Awards, scoring 11 wins, including Best Musical. The live-action feature was directed by Tommy Kail, who directed both the Broadway stage version and the movie. The project was filmed just two weeks before the original cast left in 2016.

Check out the eye-catching trailer in the video below and look for ‘Hamilton’ on Disney+ on July 3rd. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more entertainment news coming very soon.
