Coming Soon | ‘Joker’ Digital Release Date Announced

Since its release in theaters, ‘Joker’ has gone on to break a number of box office records. The film is back in the news as Warner Bros. has announced the release date for the digital release. Fans should be excited to know that the film will arrive on digital platforms starting December 17th. A few weeks later, on January 7th 2020, the film will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K. The film has gone on to gross over $1 billion USD at the worldwide box office. Additionally, the film has grossed more than every DCEU movie except for Aquaman. Todd Phillips recently opened up about a possible sequel.

He stated: “Well, a movie doesn’t make a billion dollars, and they don’t talk about a sequel. Joaquin and I have publicly said we’ve been talking about a sequel since week two of shooting because it’s a fun thing to talk about.” He added, “Here’s the real truth about a sequel. While Joaquin and I have talked about it, and while touring the world with Warner Bros executives — going to Toronto, and Venice, and other places — of course, we’re sitting at dinner, and they’re saying, ‘So, have you thought about…?’ But, talking about contracts, there’s not a contract for us to even write a sequel, we’ve never approached Joaquin to be in a sequel.” The physical release of ‘Joker’ will come packed with a bevy of features and additional content. These include a handful of featurettes and so much more.

This is certainly a great gift for fans, arriving just in time for the holiday season. Interested fans can pre-order their copy now via Amazon; don’t miss out. Keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more entertainment news coming very soon.
