Cool Collabos | The Fatlace and ILLEST x Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK

It’s been a busy few months for the good folks over at Medicom Toy. Today the imprint is back in the news, collaboration with streetwear-slash-car lifestyle brands ILLEST and Fatlace for a new BE@RBRICK. The trio has come together to showcase something classic, channeling a legendary Porsche race car that made its name on the track at Le Mans.

The BE@RBRICK is dubbed the “Pink Pig,” a homage to the 917/20 Le Mans racer developed and built by Porsche. The “Pink Pig” color scheme caused quite a controversy at Le Mans in 1971, catching attention and dominating the sport in the process. The vehicle even ran the fastest pre-race qualification session despite being untested beforehand. Fatlace and ILLEST have come together to celebrate that iconic vehicle, doing so with a BE@RBRICK in a similar design. The design also features the same red dotted lines that are meant to symbolize cuts of meat for a butcher. The dotted lines intersect the cities where the ILLEST brand is represented. The eye-catching design will arrive in a bundle with both the 400% and 100% sizes.

The collectible is slated to be released on February 13 for a retail price of $181 USD over at ILLEST. Take a closer look at the eye-catching figure in the images below and look for more from Medicom Toy coming very soon. In the meantime, be sure to check back with The Culture Curators for more design and art coming soon.
