Known for taking iconic sneakers and flipping them into custom classics, Dominic “The Shoe Surgeon” Ciambrone returns to the news feed. The Shoe Surgeon is offering aspiring artists a chance to learn from him and his team. The artist has put his touches on sneakers like the Air Jordan and Air Force 1; now, he’s offering folks a chance to learn his trade.
The Surgeon Creator’s Academy classes are four-day experiences, teaching students how to completely deconstruct and reconstruct sneakers. Each course costs around $5,000 USD and includes a pair of shoes to customize. The academy classes will also feature a shoemaking toolkit, unlimited leather to use during the class, a sewing boot camp, a guide on where to source materials and tools. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be daily breakfast, lunch, and beverages, and a private dinner/networking event hosted by The Surgeon and his team.
