New Orleans’ very own, Curren$y is back. The wordsmith has released a range of collaborative projects through the years. He returns with another one today, pairing up with Cardo. The two talented artists have linked up for a contagious new EP entitled ‘The Green Tape.’ The new project finds Curren$y showing off his lyrical prowess once again, while Cardo laces the MC with some incredible instrumentals to excel upon. Cardo himself has been quite busy, recently providing production on his collaborative project with The Cool Kids.
Now he’s back with another showcase of his talents behind the boards, cooking up some exceptional soundscapes for Curren$y. ‘The Green Tape’ comes loaded up with five new tracks, including features from Larry June and G Perico. Spitta provides us with a dose of his smooth, slow flow while Cardo laces him with some perfect backdrops along the way. Some of our favorites include “As I Proceed” with Larry June, “Bonus Round,” and “100 Stacks Out of a Dime.”
