Known for crafting some of the most outstanding bespoke vehicles on the road, Himalaya is back with something special. The US-based customizer specializes in converting vintage Land Rovers into modern-day nods to the classics. Today we get a look at their latest Defender-based project, a custom 110 Crew Cab. The ride features quite an update as the original bodywork was replaced with a set of Puma parts. This includes a new hood and wide fender flares. Other off-road centric updates include a tow winch, skid-plate, LED off-road lights, 18-inch wheels. The BFGoodrich all-terrain rubber keeps things grounded. The chassis has been paired with Salsbury axles, a Wing Tops exo-roll cage, and FOX Shocks. The 110 also includes a modern disc brake conversion with Wilwood four-piston calipers and stainless steel-braided lines.
While those updates are great and all, but it’s what’s under the hood that really gets our attention. The 110 is powered by a brand-new LS3 6.2L V8 Corvette performance engine, which pumps out 525hp and 495ft-lbs of torque. Inside, the cabin has been outfitted with a sound-proofed and Dynamat-coated interior. The Puma dash is decorated with carbon fiber accents, diamond-stitched black leather heated Exmoor seats and matching door panels. Elsewhere we see a MOMO steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a high-end audio system with an Alpine touchscreen, JL Audio speakers, and a back-up camera. This beast is much more than it appears to be, adding to its charm in the process.
