The one and only, Danny Brown is back! He’s currently celebrating the success of his show on Viceland, Danny’s House, and soon he will be dropping a new album. In the meantime, Mr. Brown is back with a brand new music video and single for our listening and viewing enjoyment. “Dirty Laundry” is the lead single from the upcoming album, uknowwhatimsayin, which is slated to arrive on October 4th. The Detroit native gives us a dose of his uncanny delivery and style, putting together something gritty and contagious.
The track was produced by Q-Tip, who will serve as Executive Producer of the album, as well. Driven by this buzzing synth section and some compelling melodies, the gritty, rattling drums mesh well and deliver quite a home for Danny to do his thing. The video fits the feel of the track flawlessly, providing something quite interesting and entertaining. Danny recently spoke about the album and working with Q-Tip. He stated: “This is [Q-Tip’s] album. I can’t take no credit. I’m just an actor in his movie.” He added, “Which was so much less stressful for me, working on albums and stuff. A lot of sleepless nights working on songs and stuff. Now, I ain’t have to worry about it. I had just had to show up and rap which made it back fun for me again.”
