Decaying Designs | Daniel Arsham x Selfridges Eroded Porsche 911

Known for his decaying creations of all sorts, Daniel Arsham has done it again. For fans of art and design, his work should be familiar, offering unique relics that include everything from basketballs to books, and much more in between. Following his two latest releases ‘Fictional Nonfiction’ and ‘BRONZE BASKETBALL,’ he’s back with his latest design, though this one is fully functional. The artist has created life-sized casts of a Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder and 1981 DeLorean. Now Mr. Arsham is back with a collaboration with Selfridges on a 2020 Porsche 911.

The car comes rocking his signature erosive details, arriving as a residency at Selfridges’ Corner Shop. The car is fully functional and fully-drivable, boasting unique attention to detail in terms of Daniel’s artwork. The white 911 is the centerpiece of the collection, which also features several of Arsham’s smaller, less-motorized sculptures. The vehicle is incredibly detailed without being overdone, keeping on theme with the rest of his designs while acting as another example of his design genius. The Porsche 911 will be on display at the Corner Shop through January 2020.
