Dom Kennedy has been doing his thing for years. The west coast native Dom Kennedy is back! The wordsmith is preparing to drop off ‘Young Nation Vol. 2, a follow up to his project from 2012. The first project was a showcase of talent on the OPM roster, and Vol. 2 is much of the same. After serving up “Swervin,” Dom Kennedy drops off a new single called “Pharaohs.”
The Nizzy produced track finds Mr. Kennedy pairing up with The Game, Jay 305 and MoeRoy, each one bringing a dose of their respective talents. “Pharaohs” is pushed by this smooth, head-nod inducing instrumental. Driven by some crisp drum work and slick, catchy melodies, the NIzzy-laced track is a perfect home for the artists to do their thing. Dom Kenndy brings his smooth flow, while The Game again flexes his lyrical prowess effortlessly. Jay 305 and MoeRay also do their thing, adding their patented style to the mix.
The track is a fitting follow up to “Swervin,” and it has us hyped about the impending project. This is certainly one we’ll have on rotation for a while, and we recommend you do the same.
