Don Toliver – ‘Life Of A Don’

The one and only Don Toliver is back! The artist made his return this weekend with his highly-anticipated new project entitled ‘Life Of A Don.’ The album is a follow-up to his debut album, Heaven Or Hell, and it’s certainly one worth adding to your listening selection. The album finds Don again showing off his range and style, doing so throughout sixteen tracks. The opus is led by the single “Drugs N Hella Melodies,” while Don links up with a bevy of talented artists along the way. The album includes features from Travis Scott, Kali Uchis, Baby Keem, HVN, and SoFaygo, while Don provides a dose of his uncanny abilities throughout.

Mr. Toliver recently spoke with Zane Lowe about the album. Don stated: “I definitely feel like it’s my best work right now, man.” He went on to add, “Me making at least hundreds of songs and choosing 16 songs out of that pot is some of the craziest thing anybody can have to do, so it’s been a journey. Honestly, Cactus Jack as a whole helped me, but with this album, in particular, I did a lot of creative control, which makes me very proud of this album in particular because I just went full-fledged Don mode and just took it upon myself to try to make this album as best as I could possibly make it in the timeframe.” Some of our favorite standouts from the album include “Way Bigger,” “2AM,” “OUTERSPACE,” featuring Baby Keem, and “You” featuring Travis Scott.

Don Toliver delivers something unique and infectious, an opus we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on. Take a few minutes from your busy day and check out the impressive new collection of sound in the stream below.
