The six god, Drake, made his return over the weekend. The wordsmith invaded the interwebs Friday with a new track and a brand new video for our enjoyment. The new track is called “Toosie Slide,” which comes on the heels of receiving a co-sign from Oprah Winfrey thanks to his feature on Lil Yachty’s recent single. This time around, the wordsmith offers up something infectious and puts his own spin on it.
Drake had reached out to Toosie, a dancer from the original video. Toosie said, “Drake hit me up and was like, ‘Yo, I need your help.'” He went on to add, “So he sends the record. It was just an idea at the time. It was just the hook and a verse. I came up with this dance.” Toosie went further to say, “[Drake said,] ‘What you think? You think you can come up with a dance for this song that I made?’ So I sit down, listen to it. Luckily, I’m at Ayo and Teo’s house with Hii Key and all of us.”
