Drake – War

He’s back! The six god, Drake, makes his return to the interwebs today, doing so with something new for our listening enjoyment. Today Drizzy returns with a new single entitled “War.” The track is actually a new freestyle that arrived with little to no promotion. Not that Drake needs any. The new track is actually from a collaboration tape, EL-KUUMBA TAPE VOL. 1. The project was created by Oliver El-Khatib, Drake’s creative director and brand manager, and Kuumba International, a Japanese Lifestyle brand.

“War” is a three-minute track that finds Drake opting for a UK accent for his delivery. While we all know how we feel about Drake’s UK accent, he holds it down and delivers a few quotables along the way. However, he does touch on some interesting subject matter, including the relationship between himself and The Weeknd as he raps that the two “just had to fix things.” Drake flexes once again, and we all listen.

Do yourself a favor and check out the infectious new freestyle, “War” in the stream below and look for much more new music coming very soon. While you’re at it, be sure to check out the latest installment of our weekly playlist, ‘A Curation of Sound.’
