2021 was a busy year for Hit-Boy. After spending most of the year working on a pair of albums with Nas, the producer returns. The Grammy-winning producer has linked up with Dreezy for a collaborative album called Hitgirl. The project is slated to drop soon, and the duo has served up their first single. The track is called “They Not Ready” and finds both artists bringing their a-game.
Speaking about the project, Dreezy stated: “I feel like we got to experiment with each other’s sounds and create something that’s different in the game right now. It’s cocky, it’s barred up, and the production is crazy!” She also spoke about the first single. Dreezy added, “‘They Not Ready’ is the perfect song to get people hype for our collab project.” Hit-Boy also added, “People really aren’t ready for what me and Dreezy have in store. Hitgirl is the first full female rap album I produced. Stay tuned.”
This isn’t the one to sleep on. Check out the infectious new single, “They Not Ready,” in the stream below, and look for Hitgirl on April 22nd. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music coming very soon.
