The good folks over at Lexus are looking to expand their fleet. In doing so, they are taking the top off of something sleek, stylish, and extremely sporty. The LC 500 is one of our favorite cars on the road. It’s smooth and stylish, sharp, and of course, fast. Well, for 2021, Lexus is giving the LC 500 a new option. Today we get our first look at the 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible. This stunning ride seen below is offered in a Structural Blue color scheme, which is contrasted by a white interior.
The new LC 500 Convertible falls under the Inspiration Series and is a special edition. Limited just 100 units, this rare ride is nothing short of incredible. Most convertibles look a degree of structural rigidity and add on extra weight compared to their hard-top counterparts. The LC 500 changes that, as the chassis has been kept intact, thanks to reshaped and relocated structural braces. The rear weight is kept low, using a die-cast aluminum suspension brace and a specially-designed dampener. Power comes from the same 5.0-L V8 engine, pushing 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque through its rear wheels. Its legendary ten-speed transmission has been left alone as well.
