Emotional Oranges – ‘The Juice Vol. 2’ EP

If you haven’t gotten familiar with the sounds of the Emotional Oranges, you are missing out. The group has made quite a name for themselves over the past year or so, and now they are back. After serving up ‘The Juice, Vol. 1,’ the Oranges are back with something brand new. Today the duo returns with a brand new project entitled ‘The Juice Vol. 2’ EP. The new EP finds the group putting together another impressive collection of material, as “A” and “V” effortlessly showcase their respective abilities.

Speaking about their new project and their influences, “A” stated: “This project is pretty risky as we’re drawing from multiple styles.” The artist went on to add, “A lot of our references are more late ’80s/early ’90s: Sadé, Michael Jackson, Prince, Janet Jackson. But production-wise, I’ve been really inspired by the Timbaland and early Kanye West eras, so you have that melodic element to it. I’ve also been able to learn from one of my mentors, Dante Jones from THEY. His groove, drum patterns, and the way he understands rhythm is something we strive to incorporate in our music.”

The group delivers a solid example of their talents, putting together something quite fun and contagious. The EP comes loaded up with eight new tracks. It also includes the previously-released “Sundays,” “Don’t Be Lazy,” “Your Best Friend Is A Hater,” and “Just Like You.”
