Style and style accessories are inspired by all sorts of things. After launching the collaborative “Office Supplies” jewelry collection with Jacob & Co., Virgil Abloh is back at it again. Today we get a look at his latest range of bracelets and earrings, elevating ordinary, everyday designs into something uniquely fashionable. The collection features ordinary paper clips which have been transformed into luxury items crafted from 18k white, yellow or rose gold
. Virgil spoke about the collection on Instagram. He stated that the collection “is a concept for fine jewelry I developed and have been sitting on for a while now…It’s all cryptic & metaphoric but that’s as much of the concept as the adolescent idea of making a paperclip bracelet in grade school meets the blinding aspirational quality of a Rocafella chain. It’s my whole art practice in one object.” Each bracelet or pair of earrings features linked paperclip-shaped pieces. Each piece is studded with white diamonds, adding to its luxurious aesthetic. Jacob & Co. also spoke about the new “Office Supplies” range.
They explained: “Creating connection between one another is one of the most powerful things in the world.” They went on to add, “Just like the paper clip earrings, one link connected to another, creating a circle of power that brings you endless strength, confidence and energy.”
