Expand & Express! Vans Announces Anderson .Paak As Global Music Ambassador

Vans, the original action sports brand, is back in the news. Today they return with some big news, as they are proud to announce three-time Grammy award-winning artist, musician, and producer Anderson .Paak as the brand’s first Global Music Ambassador. Mr. Paak and Vans share a passion for promoting creative expression through their support of art and Music. Anderson is a longtime fan of the brand and aims to uplift the community around him.

These characteristics make him a natural addition to the Vans family. The artist once worked in a Vans retail store in Topanga  Canyon, California, going on to perform live on the House of Vans stage later on in his career. He has also been featured as part of Vans’ global music content series, Sidestripe Sessions.

The artist spoke about the partnership, stating, “I’m honored to be the newest member of the Vans Family and look forward to making history with one of the most respected global brands.” AP went on to add, “I’m thankful for Vans’ partnership with .Paak House and can’t wait to broaden our reach to help even more people tap into their greatest potential.”

The forthcoming partnership is celebrated with an exclusive footwear and accessories collection inspired by Anderson’s Southern California roots. The footwear includes a two-piece assortment including the Old Skool DX silhouette inspired by AP’s debut album, Venice. The sneakers feature a wavy, eye-catching upper that blends digital print and 3D printing for added depth and texture.

We then see the Sid DX, which pays homage to Anderson’s 2016 album, Malibu. The sneakers feature an embroidered chenille pattern along the upper, which is complemented by tonal black laces and stitching. The Vans x Anderson .Paak collection includes a matching AP Bucket Hat that showcases each of the custom prints, silicon patches, and signature quotes found along the brim.

Take a closer look at this eye-catching new collaboration in the images below and head over to Vans to find out more. Look for the collaborative collection to arrive worldwide on November 13th. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more style and streetwear selections coming very soon.
