With social distancing and stay-at-home orders in effect, we’ve all got some time to learn something new. Many organizations have created online courses and databases to provide information and resources during these interesting times. Today the camera makers Olympus and Leica are following suit, offering virtual courses and talks. Olympus will soon launch “Home With Olympus Sessions,” which connects photographers with technical experts.
The aim is to provide one-on-one or group sessions where pupils can learn everything regarding photography. Topics include technical details relating to your Olympus camera or general photography skills. Leica will offer some online talks featuring renowned photographers, actors, musicians, and others in the creative industry. These talks will take place in the coming weeks with guests like Jennifer McClure and Juan Cristóbal Cobo, Maggie Steber, and Stephen Vanasco. The focus will be on topics ranging from sustaining photography while on quarantine, managing a digital workflow, and much more. Other guests will include DJ D Nice, Jeff Garlin, and Danny Clinch.
For more information, head over to Olympus and Leica to find out more. This is a great way to expand your knowledge or to learn something new. Take advantage of the time while you have it! In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the tech sector coming very soon.
