SpongeBob SquarePants can be seen everywhere these days. The animated character has become a popular option for streetwear brands, and now he’s headed to skateboards. The west coast mainstay, Santa Cruz Skateboards, has linked up with SpongeBob SquarePants for a collaborative collection of skate decks. The capsule collection is comprised of eight decks, all rocking co-branded graphics. The range is extremely collectible, boasting a colorful style and eye-catching details throughout.
The offerings are centered around a cruiser deck that sees SpongeBob grinning while hanging over the Santa Cruz Skateboards logo. He’s seen trapped in a predicament with his underwear stuck to the top of the board. Another deck features the character’s profile on a pink board, while another is covered in burgers for a nod to the Krusty Krab. Two styles showcase his best friend Patrick, one finds the duo riding a jellyfish. The other decks feature scenes of Bikini Bottom, a signature print, and a portrait of the two pals arm-in-arm. There is even a deck with a portrait of Captain. While most of the collection pulls from the cartoon, there are two art-centric decks, as well. These feature a trippy mural graphic with a colorful appeal.
