Ten years ago, Old Spice changed everything “Smell Like a Man, Man” campaign. The campaign became one of the first viral internet sensations and has racked up more than 105 million views. The campaign featured the legendary Old Spice Guy (Isaiah Mustafa), who returns to star in the latest “Smell Like YOUR OWN Man, Man” campaign. He returns to launch a new Ultra Smooth lineup with a similar SLAMM vibe.
This time around, he tries to impart Old Spice wisdom to his son, Powers. Powers looks up to his dad, humorously dismissing Mustafa’s product recommendations. The campaign features two videos, “Time Out” and “Office Visit.” “Time Out” finds the Old Spice Guy sliding on to the basketball court on hockey skates. He interrupts his son’s game to give him a few Old Spice pointers. They discuss their preference for the new Ultra Smooth product lineup before father challenges him to a game of H-O-R-S-E. “Office Visit” interrupts his son’s work meeting with a proposition to follow in his footsteps and join the “family” business. Son breaks the news that he’s carved his own path, including his own Old Spice product choices that offer new ultra-smooth benefits.
