Fast Made Faster | The Ford GT MKII

The need for speed is very real around these parts. We love fast cars, and for good reason. The Ford GT is an iconic American supercar which has a storied past on and off the track. Ford is looking to take the GT to new levels, unleashing the Ford GT MKII. This marks the third generation of the Ford GT, which aims to follow in the footsteps of the legendary ride that took over Le Mans.

This time around Ford has outfitted the GT with new tech, aerodynamics, and performance details for a modern approach. Ford Performance took the Ford GT MKII to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to reveal its power. The MKII is powered by an upgraded 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine while boasting a bevy of aggressive aerodynamic updates and upgrades. These updates include a massive rear wing, a roof-mounted air vent for cooling, and an intense looking rear diffuser. The MKII also sheds about 200 pounds from the production version, while power has been increased by 24, pushing an even 700 hp.

The ride is being called the most powerful Ford GT ever, and you can also purchase one. Ford Performance is crafting a limited run of 45 examples which come with a price tag of $1.2 million.
