Footwear Evolution | Nike Basketball’s Air Zoom UNVRS

The creative minds at Nike are always looking to push footwear forward. Today Nike is back, revealing its first show crafted from the ground up using Flyease technology. Dubbed the Air Zoom UNVRS, the sneaker is sleek, futuristic and eye-catching. Nike’s Flyease technology works to introduce easy entry and exit. Flyease also provides adjustability that serves all foot shapes and sizes. Nike has developed an athletic shoe that radically redefines how players get into their shoe.

The silhouette also provides premium cushioning material with quick responsiveness. WNBA forward Elena Delle Donne will be the one to debut the new Air Zoom UNVRS. Donne was able to draw insight from her sister Lizzie, who is disabled. The insight ensures the shoe was made right with the necessary components to be a smarter, high-performance basketball shoe.

Speaking about the sneaker, Delle stated: “I wanted to show that a professional athlete can wear it. Male, female, adult, people with disabilities — this shoe is going to work.” The sneaker comes rocking a magnetized heel that connects to the midsole. This lets wearers effectively slide their foot in and out with no hands. The design is also fortified by a strap that has Flywire cables to allow a secure fit. The silhouette is another shining example of Nike being completely inclusive.

Take a look at the Air Zoom UNVRS in the images and look for the sneakers to arrive in November. Stay tuned for more style, more sneakers and much more from Nike coming soon.
