Back in 2015, Babylon LA first released the “Rights” tee. The tee was released in support of social justice-focuses causes. Today the iconic streetwear imprint has returned, reviving the iconic tee once again. This time around the “Rights” tee has been re-released with 100% of the proceeds going to The Bail Project to help free arrested #BlackLivesMatter protestors.
The tee backs up its powerful message with quite a meaningful financial impact. The white tee features a block of black, red, and green text on the front. The text serves as a crash course on one’s civil rights if arrested. It lists off everything from Miranda rights to making steps towards securing your property. The text even provides info on the ability to leave immediately if not placed under arrest. Proceeds from the tee this time around go directly to The Bail Project.
The project is a “national nonprofit organization that pays bail for people in need, reuniting families and restoring the presumption of innocence.” The tee can be found via the Babylon webstore and is priced at $46 USD. However, direct donations can also be made via The Bail Project’s website.
