After unleashing one of the smoothest songs of 2019 called “Sharpest Edges” last month, Gallant is back at it again. This time around the singer/songwriter resurfaces with another fresh new single, showing out on a contagious new single entitled “Crimes.”
The track finds the Maryland-bred crooner again showing off his suave and effortless talents behind the mic, showcasing his range and his talents with the pen in the process. “Crimes” was produced by Stint, laced with these laid back piano melodies that are matched with some sparse, punchy drum sections that come together to provide an enjoyable listening experience. Gallant takes to the instrumental and flawlessly displays his vocal prowess on the Stint produced instrumental; showing off his growth as an artist as well.
Gallant spoke about the single recently with Zane Lowe. He stated: “This is one of those records that I was really excited to finally share with the world, so it’s surreal that today is the day,” adding “I went through maybe three or four versions of this one. Probably worked on it for like a year and a half. It was a little more collaborative than usual.”
