Game Changers! Neon Unveils World’s First NFT Vending Machine

Neon, a Solana blockchain-based NFT marketplace, and gallery, recently announced something new for the NFT world. The company unveiled the world’s first NFT vending machine. The machine is located in New York City’s Financial District, and it is the first of its kind in the world, marking another milestone for the NFT market. Unlike other online NFT platforms that solely accept cryptocurrency, the NFT vending machine accepts both debit and credit cards. Neon co-founder and CMO Jordan Birnholtz stated: “While only 2% of Americans have digital wallets, 80% have a credit card or debit card.”

The expansion into accepting fiat currency allows for greater participation in the NFT space. The vending machine is open 24 hours a day and contains boxes with special codes for the selected NFT, which can then be redeemed on Neon. Birnholtz added, “Our goal is to support artists and creators by letting them sell digital art to everyone and to help anyone who wants to become a collector.” He continued to say, “Giving people the choice to use vending machines and an easy online platform that decouples cryptocurrency from NFT participation means we can engage the widest possible audience.”

The Neon NFT vending machine is located at 29 John St. in New York, NY. Head over to Neon to find out more and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art and NFT news coming very soon.
