Game Views | “Palm Trees & Basketball” By Will Nichols

To say Photographer Will Nichols loves basketball would be an injustice to his connection with the game. The California native is a fan of the game, and he’s made it a big part of his life. Not only was he commissioned by the Los Angeles Clippers for court-side photos, he’s added the game as a focus for his latest collection.

Drawing inspiration from both the hoops and his local roots, his newly released collection entitled “Palm Trees and Basketball” aims to fuse fine art and abstract injections of hoops and nets. Beautiful gradient sunsets pop off of glass backboards with silhouetted palms reaching from the background as if they’ve got next. The July 10th release debuted the inaugural collection of the series that has been five years in the making so far. “While Will’s various creative and professional endeavors have taken on multiple directions over the years, the symbolic intersection of palm trees and basketball has remained omnipresent, making for a conceptually fitting theme for his debut fine art photography print series,” a recent press statement reads.

A limited number of “Palm Trees and Basketball” prints are available from nevermindthemess.com for $250.
