When it comes to the world of skating, there is no place more popular or renowned these days than The Berrics. Known for its viral skate content and it’s incredibly popular series, The Battle At The Berrics, the company is making some big moves. The Berrics has announced its first-ever Women’s Battle At The Berrics. BATB began back in 2008, where men’s champs include skateboarding savants like Paul Rodriguez, Chris Joslin, and PJ Ladd.
It’s one of the most esteemed contests in the world of action sports. Contestants face off in a bracket-style, single-elimination, winner-takes-all tournament. Each round features two skilled skaters going trick for trick in a H.O.R.S.E.-style game of flat ground skating. The winner then moves on to the next round, facing another challenger. The tricks are intense and incredible, and easier year, the competition gets better.
Now the world’s finest female skaters will be vying for the #1 spot and the prestige. For any women who’d like to participate, you can upload your best flatground maneuvers to Instagram, and use the hashtag #WhoIsInWBATB for a chance to enter. The chosen contestants will be officially announced on October 14.
