The Andy Warhol Foundation is looking to do something special for the holidays. The foundation has linked up with eBay for Charity for an auction featuring the late iconic pop artist and his holiday-themed works. The sale, titled “Happy Andy Warholidays,” includes authenticated drawings and other visual pieces from the artist’s estate.
While Warhol was known for his screen prints of celebrities, these works in auction showcase his childhood. Michael Dayton Hermann, director of licensing, marketing, and sales at the Foundation, spoke about the sale with AD PRO. Proceeds from the sale will directly benefit artists in need.
The foundation donated $2.6 million USD in relief for artists back in early April. They have also provided grants to 32 programs across the United States.
Check out a few select works from the auction, and they check out the rest on eBay for Charity’s website. While you’re at it, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news coming very soon.
