Modern architecture is art in which we live. We have a soft spot for stunning design, and today we get a look at a stunning example. The House at Indian Point is the brainchild of FMB Architecture. The dwelling is located on the shore of Mahone Bay, adding a contemporary touch to the rugged Nova Scotia landscape.
Used as a vacation home, The House at Indian Point features a durable facade that adapts to the harsh climate. The home features untreated torrefied wood boards and stone, complementing the surrounding landscape in the process. The triple-glazed curtain wall system uses passive solar energy.
The interior is immersed in the rugged scenery, while floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the coast. The house also features a terrace with a stone hearth. This space expands the interior into the outdoors for a further connection to the outdoors. Step outside and take in the views, doing so from a modern design full of charm and allure.
