The good folks over at the Jordan Brand are back. This year it looks like the sportswear imprint is putting a lot of energy into the Air Jordan 6. The iconic silhouette has been revamped in various player exclusive makeups for Jordan-sponsored colleges and two new colorways that arrived lately. Today the label is back with a new colorway that is slated to arrive sometime this Summer, the Air Jordan 6 “Red Oreo.”
Today we get a closer, on-foot look at the sneaker, which offers clean styling and classic aesthetics. The forthcoming rendition features a simple two-tone color scheme. The sneaker’s tongues, toe boxes, laces, smooth leather overlays, and the perforated collar bulges and mid-foot paneling are draped in all-white, which allows all the accents to stand out.
Contrasting, bold red accents are seen on the Jumpman branding, lace toggles, heel clips, and midsole molds. The midsoles also feature white speckles, which speak to its “Red Oreo” namesake. The silhouette is then finished off with a traditional icy blue outsole that is host to an oversized Jumpman logo. The sneakers are a new take on a legendary design, boasting clean attention to detail from toe to heel.
Word on the e-streets is that the “Red Oreo” Air Jordan 6 is set to arrive on June 4th, though the Jordan Brand has confirmed nothing.
