In Retrospect! Joshua Vides Reveals “When Time Stood Still” Exhibition

The one and only Joshua Vides is back at it again. This man stays busy and stays creating. The artist has returned with a new solo exhibition, titled “When Time Stood Still.” The new exhibition was on display for in-person viewing at an undisclosed LA location.

The installation takes a look at the artist’s portrayal of how the pandemic has affected life. Throughout the twelve original works of art, the artist looks internally and focuses on family, human connections, and health. Mr. Vides stated: “Each piece represents a month from this year as well as a different walk of life. There was a moment in 2020 where regardless of class, race, religion, or sex. time stood still.”

Each piece is an interpretation of classic timepieces, with each one displaying frozen hands reflecting the standstill of time. Unique, sleek, and simple, the exhibition is incredible, to say the least. The artist provides a unique look at the year that was, providing introspection and inspiration in the process. After selling out slots for in-person viewing, he is launching an online sale of the exhibit’s merchandise.
