Inspired By An Icon | Seven Seas Yachts Porsche-Inspired Luxury Day Boat

Back in the 1940s, Porsche launched the 356. The brand would go on to launch the even-more iconic, 356 Speedster in 1954. That particular ride went on to become a legend. Today we get a look at a unique luxury day boat that borrows design inspiration from that iconic ride. The Greece-based Seven Seas Yachts designed this beautiful vessel. It measures in at 22.14′ pulling direct influence from the Porsche 356 Speedster.

The ride features a Hermes’ completely handmade interior, which bears a resemblance to the four-wheeled Speedster. It includes analog instrumentation and wooden steering wheel with aluminum inlays. The seven-layer hull includes multiple airtight compartments, a honeycomb structure, and more. The exterior layer is composed of ultra-rugged and lightweight vinyl ester resin. The vessel is powered by a 153hp, inter-cooled, turbocharged, 846cc, SOHC, parallel-twin, though it weighs in at only 1,500lbs. The Hermes provides accommodation for five passengers and offers a top speed of 45mph.

Check out this stunning creation from Seven Seas Yachts in the images below and find out more about the boat from Nick’s Boats right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more exceptional boats and other modes of transportation coming soon.
