Inspired by Bourbon | This Is Hotel Distil

We all need a break from reality. Today we get a look at the perfect place to do so. Today we head to Louisville for a look inside Hotel Distil. This beautiful retreat is housed in the former headquarters of the J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company. This charming hotel keeps Louisville’s Whiskey Row legacy alive, celebrating its spirited past with outstanding attention to detail through. The hotel boasts 205 rooms, which are adorned with bourbon-influenced decor and experiences.

Guests are welcomed to observe the overturn of prohibition with a nightly toast at 19:33, which is the year the era ended. The celebration then continues at Repeal, the hotel’s on-site restaurant. Here steaks are prepared over a fire of oak-aged barrels. Other nods to the local spirit include the rooftop bar Bitters End. This beautiful space serves up tributes with an extensive menu of bourbon cocktails. You can also sample the whiskey with an in-room tasting cart offered in the Connoisseur Suites.

If that isn’t enough to wet your palette, the hotel also offers a $75,000 “Exactly Like Nothing Else” experience. This package treats guests to 12 vintage bottles of bourbon from each decade between 1900-2010, airport transfers, and a limo ride to Ashbourne Farms for a private picnic lunch. Oh, did we mention there is a performance by a bluegrass duet? Well, that’s part of the package as well.

Take a look at this unique hotel in the images below and head over to Hotel Distil to book your stay immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more travel experiences coming very soon.
