Inspiring Art! Fenimore Art Museum Opens The “Keith Haring: Radiant Vision” Exhibition

If you are a fan of art, you are familiar with the work of Keith Haring. The prolific artist is the focus of a new exhibition at the Fenimore Art Museum. The showcase, entitled “Keith Haring: Radiant Vision,” will teach younger generations about the artist’s body of work. The exhibition includes a private collection of over 100 works. The artwork consists of lithographs, silkscreens, works on paper, and posters.

The collection comes from art collectors Gary Cassinelli and Nick Preston. The artist passed away 30 years ago due to complications with AIDS/HIV, though his impact on the work of art is undeniable. Cassinelli described Haring as “An artist who rewrote the script on contemporary art, blending the gritty worlds of graffiti culture with the beau monde of uptown New York, wherein the ’70s and ’80s, the city was at its lowest point.”

Interested in learning more? Head over to the Fenimore Art Museum’s website and check it out. If you are in the Cooperstown, New York area, be sure to check out the display until September 6th. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news, exhibitions, and releases coming soon.
