He’s back! TDE’s very own Isaiah Rashad makes his long-awaited return with something brand new for our listening enjoyment. The wordsmith serves up his new album entitled The House Is Burning. The album is Mr. Rashad’s first since The Sun’s Tirade, which arrived back in 2016. Since then, the Chattanooga-based wordsmith has laid low, falling back to work on himself as a person.
After battling with drug addiction, depression, a stint in rehab, and going broke from “supporting friends and family, buying clothes, and eating really expensive sandwiches,” he’s back. The new album comes in with sixteen brand new tracks, including the singles “Lay Wit Ya,” “Headshots (4r Da Locals),” and “Wat U Sed.” Zay shows off his lyrical prowess and does with features from Duke Deuce, Doechii, and Kal Banx and contributions from Lil Uzi Vert, Jay Rock, Smino, YGTUT SZA 6LACK, and Amindi.
On the production side of things, Zay gets soundscapes from the likes of Devin Malik, Hollywood Cole, Kal Banx, J. Lbs, Amaire Johnson, Kenny Beats, and others. This man never fails to deliver something special, and this new album is just his latest.
