It’s Here | Apple Card Is Now Available

Last month it was reported that the Apple Card was on the way. Fast forward a few weeks and the word on the interwebs is that the card is here! Apple CEO Tim Cook stated in July that “Thousands of Apple employees are using the Apple Card every day in a beta test, and we will begin to roll out the card in August.” Well, today Tim Cook has announced that cards are now available in the United States. Customers can apply for the card through the Wallet app on an iPhone in and start using it with Apple Pay in stores, in apps, and on websites.

Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay, spoke about the new card recently. She stated: “We’re thrilled with the overwhelming interest in the card and its positive reception.” She further commented, “Customers have told us they love the card’s simplicity and how it gives them a better view of their spending.” The card does not use the 16-digit system as traditional credit cards do. There are no expiration dates or CVV codes either. The card comes in both digital and physical forms, generating numbers randomly when making transactions.

As far as rewards, there are cash-back opportunities like 2 percent on Apple pay purchases. This is a big move for Apple and one we’re sure their fans will be lining up for.
