James Jean Reveals ‘FRAGMENTS’ NFT Collection

James Jean is known for creating traditional art that brings out the imagination of those who view them. The Taiwanese-American returns with something new. Following his Slingshot and Woodcutter Awakening NFTs, Jean has revealed his collection of PFP (profile picture) NFTs. The collection is dubbed ‘FRAGMENTS.’ The collection was made in conjunction with the digital platform Outland with technical support by Zora.

The series features 7,000 digital stained glass artworks. The collectibles were inspired by a physical sculpture that the artist is working on. Each subject that you can see was hand-crafted by the artist. Outland spoke about the work on their website. They stated: “What Jean describes as ‘mythic beings,’ each character bears a unique persona on a pentagonal frame in his signature psychedelic color palette.”

Outland added, “Fragments features visual elements that have appeared within Jean’s works throughout his career, including his interest in the painting traditions of European, Chinese, and Japanese old Masters, and so offers a retrospective exploration of his artistic practice.” The collection is currently open for Elemental Holders, allowing interested buyers to purchase two FRAGMENTS editions for each qualifying NFT release held.

A public sale kicked off on April 28th at 8 p.m. ET with a minting price of one ETH and just a max mint of one edition. A total of 3,930 editions out of 7,000 have already been minted. Head over to Outland’s website for more information and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art and NFT news coming very soon.
