Javier Calleja Reveals “MR. GÜNTER, THE CAT SHOW”

Earlier this year, Spanish artist Javier Calleja launched a collaboration with HYPEBEANS that included newly designed spaces and merchandise. The artist is now taking his talents to Tokyo for a special exhibition curated by NANZUKA. The showcase is titled “MR. GÜNTER, THE CAT SHOW.” Many of Callejo’s works include his trademark “BIG EYE” characters. His latest exhibition is inspired by his beloved cat Mr. Günter, who roams freely around the exhibition.

Guests will view a large sculpture of Mr. Günter and two large wooden sculptures in the exhibition space. The artist wrote in his gallery notes, “I am very pleased to be able to introduce our important family, Gunter, to everyone in Japan.” “MR. GÜNTER, THE CAT SHOW” will be on display from June 25th to July 18th at the Parco Museum in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Tickets are currently available via the Parco Museum Tokyo. Take a closer look inside the exhibition and plan your visit accordingly. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art, art exhibitions, and art news coming soon.
