K Camp – Homecoming Freestyle

The ATL’s very own, K Camp is back. It’s been a minute since we got something new from the wordsmith, but he’s got a few things on his mind. K Camp returns with a new freestyle for our listening enjoyment, unleashing his “Homecoming Freestyle.” The track finds K Camp taking on the choral-sampled instrumental from DaBaby’s KIRK “Intro,” getting a few things off his chest in the process. The track serves as a diss track to the Prairie View A&M University student body.

The campus clowned K Camp to the point that he backed out of a headlining performance at the campus for Homecoming. He unleashes a barrage of his lyrical talents, aiming his bars directly at the student body in the process. This might just be the first time a rapper has ever released a diss towards an entire school. He speaks about his impact on the rap game, his hustle through the years, and much more. The wordsmith raps, “I went from broke to fat pockets, look at me. I fuck with Texas, give no fucks ’bout PV. I used to hustle, used to pass out CDs. Broke n***as watchin’, I’m just prayin’ that they pleased. How I never let ’em play me.” The track is the latest from K Camp, though we hope to hear much more in the future.
