Kendrick Lamar – ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’

The one and only Kendrick Lamar has returned. The wordsmith is back with his fifth studio album, ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.’ The project is a follow up to his Grammy- and Pulitzer Prize-winning fourth album, DAMN. ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’ is the culmination of five years away from music. During that time, Mr. Lamar started his company pgLang with Dave Free, collaborated with Nike and Converse, and guided the career of a few budding stars.

The artist then performed at the Super Bowl halftime show with Dr. Dre & Friends before announcing his fifth album’s title: Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. This Friday, he served up his project, a two-part album with nine tracks on each. The album arrived directly after the release of “The Heart Part 5,” which came with a video of the wordsmith rapping through the guise of Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, Nipsey Hussle, Kanye West, and more.

Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, arrives with standouts such as “United in Grief,” “Father Time,” and “Crown.” Other standouts include “Worldwide Steppers,” “Rich Spirit,” and “Mother I Sober.” Kendrick does his thing and gets a few outstanding features. The album includes the likes of Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Summer Walker, Sampha, Blxst, Tanna Teone, and others.
