Kobe Bryant Reportedly Killed In Helicopter Crash

The legendary former NBA star Kobe Bryant has died in a California helicopter crash, according to TMZ. The NBA star was 41, and it is reported that he was among at least four people traveling in his private helicopter. The accident took place over Calabasas when a fire broke out, sending the copper spiraling from the sky.

TMZ Sports reports that there were no survivors, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. According to the report, Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, was not among those aboard the chopper. Kobe leaves behind a legacy on the NBA hardwood that will forever be remembered and celebrated.

After being drafted thirteenth overall in the 1996 NBA Draft, Kobe went on to have an illustrious NBA career. He donned the Lakers purple and gold, making an impact on the court almost immediately. Kobe went on to win two NBA Finals MVP, the MVP Award in 2008, and much more.

He even recorded an 81 point game against Toronto in 2006, which is the second-highest in NBA history behind Wilt Chamberlain’s 100.  Kobe Bryant played for two decades with the Los Angeles Lakers. In that span, he won five championships and made 18 All-Star Games before retiring after the 2016 season.
