Two years ago KYLE dropped off his debut album, Light of Mine. It’s been one hell of a ride for the California native since then. Today the wordsmith is back with a brand new single, offering up something that showcases his growth and his talents behind the mic. Today KYLE is back with “What It Is,” an infectious new heater about coming to terms with the future. We’ve all been there, but KYLE takes us on a lyrical ride all about relationships.
“What It Is” is pushed by a clean combination of punchy drum work and some slick melodies. The track provides the lyricist with a nice home to showcase his talents. He speaks in lyrical terms about accepting his relationship and not putting up a fight if his partner walks out. KYLE recently admitted wanting to “wait until after the pandemic to release any of the songs I made for this album.” Now it seems like he’s decided to drop off the songs in hopes to bring some light during these interesting times.
