Lecrae & 116 – California Dreamin’

The one and only, Lecrae makes his return. The wordsmith is back, and he does so by linking up with the 116 Clique for a new track called “California Dreamin’.” The track finds the artists paying homage to the west coast, offering up a fitting new video as well. The South California vibes are alive and well, inspired by Lecrae’s ’90s childhood when he spent time in the area.

The wordsmith spoke about his upbringing recently. He stated: “Southeast San Diego was, for me, a place where two worlds collided. On one side was my grandmother, Big Momma, a devout Christian who was the first to introduce me to faith and religion. I respected her, but idolized the OGs who ran the streets.” The video finds the wordsmith and 116 showing off their talents flawlessly, putting on for the west coast in the process. Lecrae is even seen rocking a Marathon Clothing “Crenshaw” sweatshirt in the clip. This man never disappoints and he continues to drop meaningful, thoughtful music you should certainly get familiar with.

This is one you shouldn’t be sleeping on. Check out the infectiously smooth new single, and video, below. Keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more new music, hopefully, some more from Lecrae.
