Lil Nas X has done it again. After dropping the biggest song of 2019 thus far in “Old Town Road,” feeling the backlash upon dropping the original, and only to follow it up with a massive remix with Billy Ray Cyrus, he returns with a brand new remix. Now Lil Nas X returns to further elevate his smash single “Old Town Road” with another contagious new remix.
This time around Lil Nas X, with Billy Ray riding shotgun once again, serve up a new iteration that features the likes of Young Thug and Mason Ramsey. The addictive instrumental stays the same, as does Lil Nas X’s and Billy Ray’s contributions. However, Young Thug takes to track to supply his uncanny vocal and lyrical prowess, showing that he’s no stranger to that country hip-hop mash-up that we’ve all learned to love. Thugger is then followed by the infamous yodeling kid Mason Ramsey, who replaces Billy Ray’s final spot on the track, outfitting the instrumental with a dose of his youthful-sounding vocals and his catchy yodeling in the process.
The fellas bring their A-game, providing a refreshing new twist on the track while further mashing up the worlds of country music and hip-hop. Here’s to something we never thought would happen.
