It’s been over a decade since we’ve been treated to a new album from Lloyd Banks. The wordsmith served up a few mixtapes back in the early 2010s but no full-length projects. Sure, he’s popped up with the occasional freestyle or as a guest artist, but nothing of his own. That all changed this past Friday as the Queen’s representative unleashed his latest album.
Entitled ‘The Course of the Inevitable,’ the new LP finds Mr. Banks hitting us with a dose of his uncanny delivery, his laid-back demeanor, and his incredible wordplay. The new album, ‘The Course of the Inevitable,’ comes loaded up with eighteen new tracks and proves that the MC hasn’t lost his talents. The album was released independently and features a slew of talented artists throughout.
Lloyd gathers the likes of Styles P, Roc Marciano, Freddie Gibbs, Benny the Butcher, Vado, Ransom, and Sy Ari Da Kid to offer their lyrical abilities. He also gets some impressive production from Cartune Beatz, Tha Jerm, Dual Output, and more. This is certainly one we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
