Look Back At It! Rolling Stone Reveals The Best Songs of 2020

2020 is almost over, and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s been an interesting year, to say the least, but luckily we’ve had some great music to help get it through. As 2020 comes to a close, the good folks over at Rolling Stone have returned to take a look back at the year in music. In doing so, they have announced their selections for the best songs of 2020. This year was filled with some great new music from an array of great artists.

Taking the top spot on this year’s list is “WAP” by Cardi B and featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The track instantly took over the charts and could be heard from the club to the crib and elsewhere. Rolling Stone stated: “‘WAP’ was just the escapist raunch America needed in 2020, the sound of two of the strongest women in music definitely putting the pleasure principle front and center in a moment when fun and joy seemed dead.”

The Weeknd and his highly contagious single, “Blinding Lights,” made it to number four on the list. The track spent four weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 and has maintained a solid place on the charts since its release.

Megan The Stallion’s “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé made it in at the number twelve position. Rolling Stone described the track as an “unstoppable empowerment anthem.” Other notable tracks to make Rolling Stone’s best songs of 2020 list include DaBaby and Roddy Ricch’s “Rockstar,” “Drake and Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now Cry Later,” and “Good News” by Mac Miller.
